Crispy Kohlrabi Fries

Ingredients:

2 medium kohlrabi, peeled and cut into fry shapes

1 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for depth)

1/4 tsp black pepper
-
1 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional, for cheesy flavor)

1 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder (for extra crispiness)
Instructions:
Oven Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Prep the fries: In a bowl, toss kohlrabi sticks with oil, spices, nutritional yeast, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Spread on a baking tray lined with parchment paper in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).

Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy on the edges.
Air-Fryer Method
- Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
- Toss and coat the fries as above.
- Cook for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway through. Check for doneness—some air fryers cook faster.
